Description:
Messagecenter clocks in a wooden case for the table or to be hung into the radio truck: Deutsches Heer / Army: Kienzle no. 2210 of 1937, 8-days movement, steel
case and unusual wide wooden case.
Application:
These clocks like aircraft clocks were mounted in wooden cases in the shape of a door to be put on a table or to be hung into the radio station and carriers. This type of clocks similar made by Junghans but not interchangeable in the three hole flunsh were used by the air force for the same purpose (FL 25591) and the navy as well with the 'Reichsadler', the eagle with swastika, on the dial. There are two army type items in good condition in unpainted wood used, as the seller told me in the 'OKW' (The main military headquarters), and the other in the army officers school in Dresden. In the war time the wooden case was painted in the general grey army or air force colour. |
